I matched with this amazing girl in an app. It is very rare for me to talk to someone that I throughly am interested in. We got to know each other a bit and went on our first date 2 days into talking. I regret not getting to know her more before asking out. We go out and it was a good date. We talked about a lot of things and for a while. As we hugged goodbye I said “I wish we got to go for a walk together,” to which she replied “there will be many more opportunities to do that for us in the future.” Then when we got home I asked if she wanted to go for a second. She said yes. We talked and had a few more phone calls. During one of the calls she was telling me about this guy she was talking to whom she had very strong chemistry with. But the guy never wanted to meet and she blocked him. A few days later, she texts me saying how much she enjoyed us talking, but the romantic connection she was looking for wasn’t there. We talked on the phone later and that’s when she told me it’s only been a month since her and that guy stopped talking, and she realizes she isn’t over him since she fell for him hard. I was and am very sad. Should I give her space and if we’re both single, reconnect slowly and take it from there?
